Like Fashion Week, Bridal Fashion Week takes place twice a year – April and October. Thousands of gorgeous wedding gowns go down the runway from top designers including Vera Wang, Reem Acra, Amsale, Monique Lhuillier and Oscar de la Renta.
For autumnal brides, there are plenty of trends to choose from the Fall 2010 season. Little white (or mini) wedding dresses, detailed necklines, and amazing backs were among the most prominent.
Marchesa's little white dress (a.k.a. the LWD) was the hottest mini gown and featured a lace overlay. Designers are getting creative with gown necklines by adding tulle, beading, and ruffles to straps and sleeves, as witnessed at Christos designer Amsale's show. And women who are fixing for a Vera Wang dress will be ensconced in tiers of romantic ruffles.
